Bhutan Homestay: Supporting the Bhutan Network
Bhutan Homestay proudly supports the Bhutan Network, a registered civil society organization (CSO) in Austria dedicated to empowering Bhutanese individuals and communities from diverse backgrounds.
Our Mission
Our goal is to facilitate meaningful exchanges between individuals from various professional fields who possess extensive experience and in-depth knowledge. What unites them is a shared commitment to sustainability and an integrated approach to improving local livelihoods while preserving traditional knowledge.
By fostering connections and emphasizing collaboration, we aim to develop innovative solutions for an ever-evolving world. Bhutan Network values the wisdom embedded in long-established local traditions, ensuring that sustainable experiences are shared and applied effectively.
The Bhutan Network places specific emphasis on ideas and needs identified and expressed by their Bhutanese partners. The intention is to connect people directly so that face-to-face interaction (e.g. between European and Bhutanese organic farmers, artists, professionals, etc.) can take place. The Bhutan Network is especially interested in less privileged but highly-skilled people who lack the means to establish such connections yet have wisdom to share. Small-scale and hands-on practical approaches are particularly welcome.
What We Do
In Bhutan, our focus is on understanding how communities adapt to the challenges of rapid modernization while preserving their cultural heritage. In Europe and the USA, we seek individuals and enterprises that are reviving local knowledge to create sustainable solutions across various sectors.
Bhutan Network places a strong emphasis on ideas and needs directly identified by our Bhutanese partners. Our mission is to connect people in meaningful ways, fostering face-to-face interactions between Bhutanese and international organic farmers, artists, professionals, and more.
We are particularly passionate about supporting underprivileged yet highly-skilled individuals who lack the resources to establish these valuable connections but have invaluable wisdom to share. Our approach is rooted in small-scale, hands-on initiatives that drive practical and lasting impact.
